The University of the ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ and Birmingham-´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵern College (BSC) have created a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") to clearly articulate to BSC students any changes to any of the University of the ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ’s published transfer requirements which apply to BSC students.
Transfer applicants to the University of the ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ may request a transfer credit evaluation for admission by contacting the Office of Admission at admiss@sewanee.edu prior to submitting their application.
For transfer applicants previously admitted to the University of the ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ: First year scholarships previously awarded upon admission to the University of the ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ will be honored and at a minimum awarded for students successfully admitted for Fall 2024 entry.
For all other Birmingham-´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵern College transfer applicants: Transfer students will be eligible for merit scholarships consideration, commensurate with their academic performance. Merit scholarships range from $10,000 to $30,000 per year.
Need-based applicants should complete the FAFSA and CSS Profile by June 1. Sewanee's school code is 003534. Applicants who have already submitted their FAFSA can update it by the first half of April with our school code.
Sewanee Career Readiness helps students discover their strengths, learn career skills through workshops and individual appointments to explore potential majors, careers, internships, and jobs. Students gain real-world job experience through our strong internship program, tools for graduate or professional school applications, and an extensive Sewanee network.
Our small classes mean that your voice will be heard, your contribution will be expected, and your opinion will be listened to (and disagreed with, and challenged, and seen from a different perspective, and pushed in a new direction, and considered—and you know what? Maybe we’re both right. See how it works?).
We're a community where everyone has a place and there's a place for everyone. Group study? We'll bring our notes. Rock climbing? We're geared up and ready. Jam session? Sure, we'll play with you. Whatever you want to do, at Sewanee, you'll never have to go it alone. Unless you need your space. Then, we totally get it.
